WebJohn Lothrop Motley (April 15, 1814 – May 29, 1877) was an American author and diplomat. As a popular historian, he is best known for his works on the Netherlands, the three volume work The Rise of the Dutch Republic and four volume History of the United Netherlands. WebDutch Morley was one of the first most prominent players. After he helped lead former Jaguar coach Dick Brown to his first CYO city championship in 1974, Morley played point guard on Morgan Wootten’s 1977-78 undefeated team. He later starred at Maryland. Morley’s eldest son, Michael, is a junior member of the Stags’ baseball team.
